Curriculum

St. Patrick has one classroom per grade. All of our full-time teachers are certified and we have teacher assistants in pre-school  through 5th grade.  This arrangement keeps our school small and cohesive.  The family-like atmosphere gives the students the feeling of "coming home" to school each day.

Our students have their core curriculum work, which includes reading, English, spelling, math, social studies, science and religion.  We also offer them six "specials" classes, they include Spanish, library, physical education, art, music, and computer skills.  These "specials" classes each have their own classroom/lab space, so the children move from classroom to classroom during the day.

School (for K-8) begins at 8:05 and ends at 3:00pm.  The day is full of learning and activities.  After school, we have several extra-curricular options for the students.  The Music department sponsors a Choir and/or Band program, the Art department has an Art Club and middle school grades have the option of boys' and girls' soccer and basketball teams.

St. Patrick School offers excellent educational opportunities and activities to help mold today's students into tomorrow's leaders.

Our curriculum follows the standards laid out by the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh and a detailed 'parent curriculum overview' is available at their web site. go...
